Period came 12 days early

The last time I had sex was on Christmas , my Auntie told me to wait 14 days to take a test but I was so nervous I asked her could I take one last night and she said I could because it was close enough , so I took it and it was negative. My period isn’t due for another 12 days but yesterday and today I’m bleeding and using a tampon because either. My period came early or I don’t know and I’m not cramping bad at All but I normally don’t cramp bad on my period anyway . My boyfriend told me to calm down because I do over exaggerate situation all the time and make them worse but I just want to know am I ok . Or has anyone else ever got there period so early before. Last month my period came early too . There irregular it’s annoying so maybe it really did just come early??!?!
