Dating w kids??

My boyfriend and I have been together for seven months now. He lives three hours from me so we usually try to see each other twice a month but sometimes only once. He usually comes to me. I have a six year old son. He usually spends one night out of two with my parents when my boyfriend comes to town. As my boyfriend and my son are getting more comfortable with each other, my son is beginning to stay home through when my boyfriend is staying with us.

Here’s my problem - my boyfriend won’t have sex with me while my son is home. I don’t mean anything crazy. Just at night, while we’re all in bed. My son sleeps in his own room which is across the living room. He doesn’t come to my room in the middle of the night & if he does come to my room it’s at 7 am or later to wake me. I know how to be quiet so that’s not a problem either. My bed doesn’t make noise or anything like that.

I’m trying to be understanding that it makes him uncomfortable but we’re getting to the point where we’re all spending the whole weekend together which means no sex ever especially bc we only see each other once or twice a month anyways. Any advice or suggestions?? I don’t want to pressure him but damn.
