Do Diapers Expire?

We had my shower at my moms and left diapers there for storage. Last weekend I returned what I had brought to my house and he had outgrown. He’s now in size 2. We went through what we thought were all big sizes and ended up finding 6 packs of size 1 and a large box of them. Do diapers eventually have a shelf life? I know there is gel in a lot of them and I guess I figure the sticky parts could dry out. I’m sorry if this is stupid. Lol Also, Walmart would only let me exchange diapers for more diapers without receipts. Does anyone have a place they can return for at least store credit? Otherwise, I’ll just hold onto them for a few years, using them as shower gifts and for baby #2.
