Feeling heartbroken 😔

So today we decided to tell our parents the news we are expecting!!

This was a very nerve wracking time for us both. We both have 3 children each from previous marriages and this will be our 1st baby together.

Yes we know how hard it’s going to be and 7 children is a lot but we don’t have them all together all of the time.

So we went round to his mum and dads and told his mum she said, “well I think you’re crazy but congratulations” he then told his dad who had just woken up from a night shift he was over the moon and said he had been expecting it for a while now haha. We were both so relieved and left feeling happy.

We then got to my mums house when I told her she wasn’t happy at all. She kept saying “are you mad!!” “I can’t believe this” “you’re joking right?” And the point she then turned round and said “I’m so disappointed” my heart literally broke. I got my coat and shoes on and left.

I’m absolutely gutted she has reacted this way. I just keep crying thinking about what she said. This is supposed to be a happy time for us and I feel like it’s been ruined.

Has anyone else had this experience? How did you cope? I’m not sure if I should message her and tell her how upset she’s made me or just leave the ball in her court and she come to me if she wants to?
