So I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks 3 days, the tech said “boy” but I can’t help but feel like she might be wrong? I saw the “boy parts” but they did not look like definitive boy parts to me. Wondering if with modern technology and up to date 2D ultrasound technology, is it possible to be told the “wrong” gender?

Yes especially early the clitoris and penis look the same when it's before 20wks. I was told girl twice and had a boy with my first. That was by a Dr and a tech. It can happen more than you think. I don't trust early ultrasound. I don't know I was having a boy this he came out. Sooo much pink stuff that had to be returned.

It's possible, but usually unlikely if you used an experienced technician. Especially if you got a picture. I got my reveal at 15 weeks and he is definitely still a boy and still not shy about showing off what he's got! Haha
