(almost) 1 year old suddenly cries at bedtime?

My daughter has been a great sleeper since 4 months. I would lay her down and she would fall asleep within minutes. But as she got older it would take her about 15 to 20 minutes because she wanted to play, lol. But anyway, about 2 weeks ago, she started hysterically crying when I left the room after I would lay her down, so I ended up rocking her to sleep for 5 straight nights, and then all of sudden things went back to normal. Fast forward to 2 nights ago, it started again.😦 And it's just during nighttime,  she does fine for her naps. Any idea what this could be?  Thanks in advance!!

Teething is my guess. I think it bothers them more when they lie down.

Terrible twos. My son was 1 1/2 when he started doing that; he’s two now and goes to bed with a story or 7 Lol. 
Sometimes; with my kid, I let him cry it out and check up on him for the first time, then lessen my amount of checking up on him so he wont get used to me always getting up to go to his room to check in. This helped because after i check him 2 times, he gets that I wont go back to check in and then falls asleep- crying or not crying. Terrible 2s dont have to start when they’re 2yrs old, so just try to lessen your time checking on her and calmly explain that it’s bedtime and that she will be okay. It’s hard, but she’ll be fine ♡ q

when my son was about to turn 1 he went thru this weird phase for about 1-2 months of separation anxiety. just going to pee he would flip out. if it's not that maybe she's teething but from what u wrote sounds like the separation anxiety phase . Good luck

Sleep regression, gas, teething...it could be a number of things.
