Finally 😍

Yay, finally have a turn at this!πŸ’™

So, I woke up Thursday morning at around 4 am to some contractions a little more stronger than usual. I woke up around 3 times, the 3rd time was 7:00 am on the dot so I stayed up and started to time them. They were anywhere from 5-10 minutes apart, until about 9 am and they started to space out more. They were coming anywhere from 20-30 minutes all day nonstop, I wasn't sure if it was false or real so I continued doing normal things (grocery store, trip to DMV, dinner, cleaning). Well, I laid down to go to sleep and slept for maybe about 20 minutes and got woke up with a contraction, they started coming every 10-20 minutes so I just stayed up and continued to time them. About 1 am, They started getting more and more intense, they were coming every 10-15 minutes. I started having them to were I was almost in tears but they were still so far apart and I truly thought they were false (I had an OB appointment the previous day, I was 0 cm and 0% effaced). Around 4:30, I called my OB and talked to the on call doctor and explained everything to her and told her I was 2 days away from my due date (sunday). She said "They sound like very strong Braxton hicks, if they start coming every 5-7 minutes you can come into the hospital." So not even 30 minutes went by and they started coming 8 minutes apart, then 2 contractions later they were 6 minutes apart. I started thinking my body was fooling me because of what I was just told, so i texted my mom and told her to call me as soon as she woke up. It was around 5 am she called and they were coming every 3-4 minutes but were only lasting about 30-40 seconds and Weren't very intense. My mom started to panic and told me to leave now, she would meet me there. I went and woke up my boyfriend and told him I'm going to the hospital, but I don't think this is it so I'm going by myself. He started to panic, and I explained to him how they weren't lasting long and weren't all that bad now, so he said okay and to keep him updated. I started to drive, my mom called me and when I told her I had just left the house by myself she started cussing me out (LOL) and told me to go home now, she was in her way to get me. I went home, she came and got me and sped to the hospital. I checked in, and got to a room. The doctor came in and said that we had spoken on the phone, she asked me if they were still 10-15 minutes apart and I told her no, they were 2 minutes apart now. She seemed to be in no hurry to check me, I guess she figured this wasn't it for me either lol. She checked my cervix and said "Wow, yes, you're definitely in labor! 5 cm and 80% effaced. You're going to be staying with us today!" It was about 5:45 am and I got so excited! I told my boyfriend to get here as quick as possible, my mom did all the calling for me. They moved me in a room and started with the questions, asked me if I wanted an epidural and I said no. Around 9-9:30 am my water broke while I was laying in bed talking to my mom, boyfriend and grandmother so things started to move quickly after that. Contractions started to get so intense I was shaking, my whole body was shaking so bad I couldn't help it. I told them I need to push, she checked me and said my cervix were almost thin enough but not quite yet so I said I want an epidural. The lady came in, they sat me up and I was still shaking uncontrollably while she was cleaning my back. She said "Honey, in not trying to be mean but you need to hold still" I started just shaking my head and said I NEED TO PUSH! NOW! So a nurse ran out and got my mom and grandmother, my boyfriend helped me lay back down. The midwife rushed in and started to check me, the lady for the epidural looked fairly annoyed as she started to put all her wasted stuff away she had gotten out (oh well) and left. Once everyone was in, I was told it was okay to push so that's what I did. 15-20 minutes went by and he was here! πŸ’™ all the pain was gone and it was all worth it! I'm so glad I didn't end up getting that epidural like originally planned (it was the pain talking lol). My heart has never been so full, and I've never been so in love!
