It was never truly painful for me - that's not to say it was easy! We are almost 5 months in.

It wasn’t painful at all. Only hurt while pumping because I didn’t have the right sizes for it

Mine was uncomfortable but I didn’t mind it. Unfortunately mine would only latch occasionally.

It was HORRIBLE for me. My nipples were literally bleeding. Nipple cream helped a little but the pain was horrendous. I remember screaming but I carried on cos it was best for baby. Got better after a couple months

Mine is so painful. He has a slight tongue tie and we've seen the lactation consultant 3 times (my son is 2 weeks old).  A nipple shield helps a little.
