falling off the bed?

how many times has your baby fell off the bed? what did you do when they did? she's fell off a few times but she always seems to be fine.  *UPDATE  Congratulations to the mommy in the comments that's perfect, I'm glad your child has never fallen off the bed but fyi she's always supervised. I've never left her on the bed by herself, I'm glad you assume that. Accidents happen, maybe you should try to be a little less judgy next time 🙃🙃

I fell off the bed so many times when I was younger, like almost every night. my parents put a teddy bear next to me by the edge and I never fell again. I still sleep with a bear next to me so I dont fall 😂😂

My daughter did once. She doesn’t walk or crawl so I put her down and went for a diaper on the other side of the bed. She literally pulled herself to the edge and belly flopped. Luckily a pack of diapers broke her fall! It scared her more than anything! Accidents happen mama. Don’t let these judgey “perfect” moms tell you anything because one day an accident will happen to their kid and if they think it won’t, they’re beyond wrong. 
I can make you feel even better. My one year old was home playing with my mom while I was at work. My dads dog snuck in quick and went right for her. I normally keep them separated. Before she even could react the dog bit her. In the face. She just had 15 stitches on her lip. Was it scary? Yes. Was I pissed? Yes. But my moms raised 6 kids and I know she knows what she’s doing obviously. Moral of the story: ACCIDENTS HAPPEN!

Ugggg. My first born was about 4 months old, sitting in the middle of bed on boppy.... I went down my teeny hall to get another load of clothes and that crazy child somehow fell off bed and landed in pile of clothes thankfully. Then LITERALLY the stinken next day I had him sleeping in my bed for a nap, I go to make myself lunch and he decides right then... in his sleep, he would roll over for the first time and roll right off the bed. It was rediculous. He wasn’t even that close to edge either!! 
Needless to say my husband thought I was neglecting to watch him, or wasn’t capable of taking care of a baby. 😑 
Lol a few months later my son smacked him head on a table falling while my husband was watching him. Haha I aimed to make that a learning moment and say “SEE?! Things happen even when you’re watching.” He understands though you cant always be there for them.

If its a bad fall get her checked out to be safe. Head injuries can be very bad or just a bump, and you may not know just looking at it. But honestly try not to be too hard on yourself things happen just be as safe as you can.

My daughter has fallen off the couch a couple times. I dozed off and she wiggled out of my arms before I woke up. Also a friend of mine's baby rolled off their recliner. There's an old saying that if your baby doesn't fall off the bed, or whatever, by the time their one then they'll die. I think mothers came up with this way back when so they wouldn't feel so bad when it happened. But whatever the reason, it just goes to show how long it's been happening and how often it happens. Usually the fall just scares them as long as they don't hit their head, then they're usually fine. Trust me, your LO is going to have a lot more falls and bumps when 
She gets started walking. . Believe it or not, babies are tough. Their bones are softer so it's really hard for them to break. As long as she didn't hit her head, and she's not acting out of the ordinary, like crying when you touch a certain spot or acting protective of a certain area, then most likely she's just fine. Like I said there's going to be a lot more falls down the road, so do what you can to try to keep it from happening, but if it does just make sure she's acting like usual and give some extra cuddles, and if she's acting different in any way take her to the dr.

My son who is almost two fell off the bed when he was a baby I think about 3-6 months somewhere in there. I cried way more than he did. I was so angry at myself. It was while I was changing my shirt. I was like 2 foot from him and he just rolled over and off He was fine and that was the only time it ever happened. I was so scared because my husband was gone and when he came back I broke down crying harder and was like please don’t divorce me and take our baby away lol I think I was sleep deprived and hormonal still,  he looked at me like I was nuts lol. Shit happens. I remember when we were pregnant with him my husbands boss told us babies bounce (jokingly) and was like oh just wait until it happens to you and I remember being like oh no that’s never happening. Lol oops. You learn as you go mistakes are made but you learn and grow from it.

We cosleep. It has happened a couple of times. Usually doesn’t move that much but when she went through phases of developing mobility she would be way more active in her sleep. Bed is on the floor and when she was smaller I’d have blankets on the floor so she’d have a soft landing. One time she even slept through it and I could just scoop her up and lay her back down.  
Accidents happen. Just got to make sure they can’t hurt themselves on anything on the way down.

For the moms that are judging, they definitely aren’t perfect moms. They just have their head stuck up their asses. It’s bound to happen that a child falls off of something whether they want to admit it or not.

Not gunna lie my son has done this 3 times (my mattress is on the floor so not a big drop). Is turning 1 next week and we have nursed since he was born and when he started crawling he thought it was funny to crawl to edge and pull himself over. The first time scared him the second he thought was funny and the 3rd I said nope you now sleep in your crib

Lol.. my husband drop my son once from his arms... at the moment was scary but glad he is fine... so far so good I have not drop him yet and hope it doesn't happen but you know kids.. my 8 year old son fell off the bed once and cried and before it happen again I put some pillows on the floor and trust me that works really good.. he fell and fell on cushion lol... well if your little one falls and hits his head hard hold your hand tight to where he hit him self to prevent a bump from rising then apply Arnica... trust me it works..
