Diva cup (Menstrual Cups?)

Question

okay, so I'm really curious.... 
these cups... I'd love to try them, but I'm kinda scared it would hurt. I may be 23 but I mean, I need some more info on them and how others find it useful. I'd love to start using them because I mean come on ladies. we could save a TON of money using them... so please tell me your experience, why you like and don't like them... ext.. thank you!!

I started last month with a diva cup and honestly I’m blown away in LOVE with it.
It should not hurt at all to wear - in fact you should not be able to feel it what so ever.
It’s so much healthier! My who life (I’m 28) I though periods umm.. smelled a bit. But they shouldn’t smell at all! I was amazed.
No more gross wet string.
Or pads bunching up your butt.
I emptied mine in the shower before bed.
I ding leak at all!!! I always leaked a bit no matter what with a tampon.
No more spending money on disposable gross tampons.
I’m actually looking forward to my next period 😂😂

There are so many different brands of cups. I took the put a cup in it quiz and it directed me to a few different brands that may work for me. I love my cup and have been using it for a year as of 2 days ago. 
I use the Lena brand. I bought both sizes and use the bigger one during my heavier days (beginning) and the smaller one for the last couple of days. I love the freedom I have while wearing them and I love that I don’t have to go to the bathroom every so often to change my pad or tampon and clean up. My period length has shortened by a couple of days. I don’t have to worry about smelling bad, feeling wet, etc. If I leak it’s because the cup didn’t suction properly, but even then it’s not enough to fill an entire pad. It really only requires a panty liner when I have a leaking issue. 
It was difficult at first because I leaked all the time and couldn’t figure out a technique to get it to work properly. I will never go back to using a pad or tampons. This is a game changer!! If you decide to get it just be patient with yourself and the process because it is a process.

Love it. It’s super convenient for travel and days when you can’t get to the bathroom frequently too. I had some cramps from it early on, but was able to adjust the way I put it in and now, no issues. Only thing I will say is that you need to be comfortable with your body to use them.

i started using a menstrual cup, but then i got pregnant, so i only used it twice. i loved it though. you have to get used to inserting it a little, but it's similar to a tampon, i guess. taking it out needs a little practice as well. i doesn't hurt, you shouldn't feel it at all. i found it very comfortable, no leaking, lasted a lot longer than a tampon. plus i found it r really interesting to see, how much i actually bled. i was camping and it was no problem.

I just got mine today. I’m on my second day, which I always the worst for me and I love it so far. I am wearing a pad just to test for leaks. But it’s not that hard to put in either. I’m pleasantly surprised! I really didn’t think I’d like it but I do!

My period is changed forever since using a menstrual cup! I’ve told all of my friends to try them!! 
Pros:
—comfortable
—CONVENIENT (you can leave it in for up to 12 hours so if it’s not a super heavy day that means only having to change it twice a day!!) 
—less leaking than tampons (if you insert it correctly)
—healthier for you (less risk of toxic shock syndrome)
—better for the environment (no waste! you literally wash everything away in the sink) 
—you save so much money! (only have to buy one every year)
Cons:
—can be messy (you have to wash the blood out in the sink so it can be inconvenient if you’re not gonna be around a private bathroom for >12 hours)

Make the switch you won't regret it!! 😊😊 I switched for a couple of reasons:
1. Cheaper in the long run(only have to buy once a year) especially if you get a cheap brand cup(I got the blossom cup and so far it's great!)
2. I can keep it in for 12 hours instead of 4-6 hours.
3. It's great for my busy work day since I can keep it in for 12 hours.
4. Great for the environment.
5. Less of a health risk.
I've seen lots of comments that it can be messy but I don't think it's that messy, honestly Im pretty sure I was overthinking the messy part.
These are a lot more comfortable than tampons! So far I have no negative comments for someone who wants to switch to the cup.

I find them utterly disgusting. You can literally smell the blood when wearing it. The idea is so nasty- just dripping blood into a cup?! Who came up with that? If I hear the cost saving this one more time I will scream. Buy tampons when they’re on sale. They’re $5 a box. You can’t afford $5 month?!?

I made the switch about two months ago. I took a quiz online to see which cup would be better for me and I got Lunette. 
Did some research, and for my body type and flow, that was the perfect one for me.
I totally recommend it to all my friends. It’s awesome. It did take a few tries to get it in and out smoothly but once you get it down it takes seconds to do it. 
It is cheaper in the long run, you could go 10 years without having to replace it. 
Helps with cramping, and lowers the risk of TSS. 
I’m glad I made the switch honestly.
