Relationship with an Introvert?

Has anyone or is anyone in a relationship with an introvert? What do you do on the days he doesn't feel like talking to anyone including you?

My husband is way more introverted than I am. When he’s feeling like solitude I just do my own thing- talk with family, visit friends, take the baby for a long trip outside. I love that we don’t have to do everything together

My mom has been married to an introvert (my dad!) for over 40 years. My mom is very warm and social and she has several friend groups that she socializes with. She also has her own career (semi retired now) and hobbies (football, cooking, decorating) to keep her busy. She loves to travel and of course her grandchildren. My point is, she keeps herself busy and she doesn’t take his moods personally (she is one of the only people he likes 😂). He can be a pain to live with sometimes but luckily they have a large house so if he needs to be alone she can be on another floor watching TV, reading, etc. Good luck, it’s not easy- especially in some certain social settings. Their friends have all known him for a long time so they are used to his behavior/attitude but I’m sure it was awkward at times.

My husband is an introvert and it used to bother me a lot when he wouldn’t engage in a conversation. Let’s just say that over the 11+ years (4 married) we have been together, I’ve learned to embrace the silence. As long as we can both communicate our needs, what’s working, what’s not, if we are upset/angry, happy- we are good! 
Don’t get me wrong, we don’t only talk about our relationship. We have taken great lengths to learn more about each other’s profession- despite being on opposite sides of the business (I’m in business operations and he is a software developer). This helps us have engaging conversations when one is talking or venting about our day or upcoming projects. Over the years, we have taken interest in each other’s hobbies and encourage one another to do more with them. This allows for both of us to grow together and independently at the same time.
