Can you take pepto while pregnant?

I am 3 days into my missed period, and have gotten one possibly faint positive. I'm not absolutely sure I am pregnant, but it is definitely a possibility. These past few days, I have had gas like no other. Not just passing gas, but the pain in my stomach kind (which I have only had once in life and now 3 days in a row at different times. Hmmm). It hurts. A lot. I want to be on the safe side until I test again. So, would pepto be a safe option?
