DO NOT TAKE EVENING PRIMROSE OIL!!!

Okay so yesterday I posted asking about women taking it to help the cervix soften and stuff. After doing a bunch of research on the internet I decided to take it bc I couldn’t find anything negative. Then this morning my mom(who is a nurse) texted me saying it’s linked to bleeding. They have it on a list of medications to stop taking 2 weeks before any surgery. So I decided to do some more research initally I couldn’t find anything really besides moms saying theyre trying it. I really had to dig deep to actually find any studies or anything done on EPO. But once I did I was surprised. There are very few studies that have been done but EPO has been linked to hemorrhaging during labor and bleeding in the baby. A lot of the studies done suggest not to take it just based off of the fact that there is very little research actually done on it. All I know is I won’t be taking it even with the slightest chance that it could harm the baby.

Also, is these studies there is absolutely no evidence to support that it actually helps ripen the cervix or do anything!
