Do you think Tonya Harding should be praised at the Golden Globes?

If you don’t know who Tonya Harding is, well here’s a brief description.

Tonya Harding was a highly skilled ice skater that was in the running to place at the Olympics. Her biggest competition was a woman named Nancy Kerrigan. I think it was at a practice when Nancy stepped off the ice and was attacked by someone who tried to break her legs. Skipping a few months, Tonya’s husband was found guilty of hiring the guy. Obviously Tonya knew about. But they both still went to the Olympics and Nancy beat her by acquiring the silver metal while Tonya finished eighth. Anyways, why I’m asking this is because a movie was made from Tonya’s point of view and it has won a few awards. The Golden Globes was all about standing up to abuse and inequality last night, but everyone was praising Tonya for “sharing her beautiful story and being a powerful woman”. I think that’s really fucked up on the part that Tonya was part of hurting another woman but I want everyone’s opinion.
