Hey guys, here’s a few questions for anyone who can help.

I had an IUD inserted about a month ago. I went with Kyleena, which my doc told me is best for small, young girls (I’m 22), who haven’t had kids. Everything went fine-ish with the procedure, except my cervix refused to open and I almost had to be dilated. I had some crazy pain afterwards (my appointment was at 11am, had pain all day).

The next few days I had minor cramping, and a lot of clearish discharge. Had one day of minor spotting. Then after about 3-5 days, the brown discharge started. And it pretty much hasn’t ended since. I’ve had a few stray days here or there where I had normal discharge, but it’s pretty much just been brown.

I also haven’t gotten my first period since being on it. My period ended two days before I had it inserted, and I had been on the pill for about 3-5 days before getting it inserted. My doctor advised me to wait about 2 weeks before having unprotected sex, I waited about 3 weeks to be safe. Last night I had some pretty bad cramps for about an hour, then I was okay.

Does all of this sound normal(ish)? Hard to answer, I know, seeing as this is all very subjective and every body is different. Just need some reassurance/advice/thoughts/wisdom. Thanks!!
