What size diapers should I buy ?

My baby is due feb2 and I'm wondering what size of diapers should I buy. How much of newborn? How much of size 1 or 2?

Newborns go through a lot of diapers. I would get two big boxes to start with. Even if they only fit two weeks they will go fast. The rest I just bought as time went on.

All babies are different. My lo came on time and was 7 lbs even, she was in newborn diapers for 3 months, and clothes for about 4 months before we could move up to the 0-3 stuff. We ended up having to purchase a lot more newborn clothes and diapers than we ever though we’d need.

I’d just get a small pack of newborns, because unless you have a preemie, they won’t fit for long anyways. My boy nearly skipped newborn all together and he was 8lb 9oz. I’d rather have them a little big than a little small...one box of 1s to start and you’ll get the idea after that. 
People tend to overdo the changes in the beginning as well. 
You don’t need to change the diaper after every tiny pee, their bladder is so small in the beginning that they are letting out like a TBSP of urine. But many people think as soon as the wetness indicator turns, you need to change. Not true! Unless you have a fussy when wet child, but even then, the diapers these days do a fantastic job at working away moisture.

Also, keep diapers packages closed until you need them! Target will let you exchange for a different size as long as they sell them!

You use size 3 the longest since it’s the biggest range of weight. I never even used newborns and they grow out of size 1 and 2 fairly fast

Due in April. I plan on only getting a box of newborn diapers since most babes I’ve seen only stay in them 2 weeks-1month. We have 3 boxes (approx 500) of the largest count size 1 and are currently stocking up on size 2.

I️ used new borns for like a month then size one for a month then size 2 for a couple of months lol I️t depends on how big the baby just get one pack of each for home then have someone run out and get more of what ever size he uses the hospital with have his size when he arrives congratulations
