What should I expect?

I'm 37 weeks so now I'm just waiting! I know I will lose a mucus plug and my water will break but how will I know for sure? I haven't had Braxton hicks contractions yet, that I know of anyways. I hate the uncertainty of it all lol

Some people don't lose there mucus plug till they deliver and a lot of women water don't break I have had three kids and pregnant with forth and my water only broke on its own for one so ull just have to go off the pain of the contractions and how far apart they are

For some water won't break until in hospital and well Into labor! Also, some don't even notice when they have lost their mucus plug, but if you do notice it, it can come out days at a time, or all at once and from there, labor can be hours, days, or a week or 2 away! I didn't notice my mucus plug with my first and my water broke when laying in bed at 39 weeks and 5 days. With this pregnancy, I'm 36 weeks and 2 days and lost my mucus plug 4 days ago. It came out within 3 days. So just start paying attention to contractions if they get intense and such because you may go into labor without your water breaking!

I'm 3cm dilated and 50% effaced as of Monday...guess that's good thing!

On baby #3 never lost my plug or my water didn't break(until active labour) mine started with contractions 7/8 mins apart and they got closer and closer and more painful

I didn't get any of that with my DD I've had BH's for a while with this pregnancy tho 36weeks at the mo I had to be induced with my daughter as was 2weeks over due date x

Not everyone loses their music plug! a friend of mine didn't and she delivered at exactly 40 weeks (: I'm 38 weeks, 1cm dilated (as of last week, hoping that I'm more dilated at my next checkup tomorrow) and still haven't lost my mucus plug. also sometimes your water needs to be broken by a doctor/nurse (:
