My husband, brother in law and I have always had the habit of taking our shoes off at the door when we enter. We all work together in our family restaurant that stays open very late so tons of people are coming in after the bars/parties/being wild and filthy. I think it’s safe to come inside and take off your shoes and leave the germs in one spot.

Fast forward living in this same multi level townhome 4 years and I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first little girl. Maybe I’m paranoid.

My brother in law has recently proposed and is engaged. His fiancé lives with us now. She is a nurse at a hospital and everyday (for about 5 months) she used to take her shoes off, but lately she comes upstairs to get her breakfast shake out of the fridge and wears her shoes. She used to leave them at the door next to our three pairs, why has she stopped?

Does anyone else find this gross?!!

Am I overreacting?

The last bit of info is that my husband and I are moving into our own house before the baby is born, so is it even worth it to say anything to her and cause a rift?
