rock n play sleepers?

Are they okay for baby to really sleep in? My baby will not sleep in the pack n play or crib. So just wondering if I bought a rock n play sleeper to try, if it would be safe?

I understand that swings, bouncers, rock n plays are all not recommended for overnight sleep, but when you have a screaming baby that won’t sleep in a bassinet or crib, you will try everything. My LO would only sleep in our arms or in us and would scream bloody murder laying on her back. We finally found that she would sleep in the rock n play. Guess what, she sleeps and we sleep. During the day I put her down in the pack n play to try to get her to sleep on her back. The most I’ve gotten is an hour. 
You will figure out what works. She sleeps right next to me and I make sure she gets enough tummy time during the day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Its not safe and it encourages bad sleeping habits that will be hard to transition out of later

Maybe if baby falls asleep in there during the day while you watch him/her. But at night baby is safest in a crib

No. This is not a safe place for them to sleep. Especially unsupervised. It says that right on their warning label. Plenty of moms do it but it doesn’t make it safe.

Yes may daughter slept in hers till week 7-8 when we moved her into the crib

Psssh if it wasn’t for my rock n play... I don’t think we would have survived. My son slept in it for 5 months. Then we transitioned to his crib in his room. He has never come back. 16 months and sleeps all night in his room by himself.  Going to take it out and most definitely use it for the next baby due in September!!!!

My daughter slept in her mamaroo the first 3 weeks of her life. She transitioned smooth to her bassinet & now uses a rock n play for nap time

They're not recommended for over night sleep, but there have been & still are times my 7 mo won't sleep unless he's in his (usually when he's sick or having an off night). It's also very easy for me to see & hear him in his room so I don't have to worry too much. As far as it creating bad sleep habits or w/e, it could happen but every baby is different. My baby sleeps just fine in his crib 99% of the time, it's usually when he's congested & not feeling well that he likes the rocking & coziness of the rock n play. Do what you think will work for you

My baby is 4 months and since she was a week old she slept in the rock n play until 3 1/2 months. It is hard to transition her to a bassinet since she got used to the rocking movement, I would recommend to use it occasionally not overnight as I did.
