Sleep

My little guy is just over 2 weeks old. He HATES sleeping on his back. Everytime I lay him on his back he wakes up. The only way he will sleep is if I let him sleep on my chest. Works great for him, but not me. Bed shearing is less than optimal for us. Not only am I afraid of the risks involved, but we have 3 large breed dogs- 2 of which sleep in our bed every night and the other one will get in bed with us occasionally. I've been doing research on belly sleeping. It seems to be more common than I thought. And for me, the benefits seem to outweigh the risks. He has a bassinet set up right beside me, breastfeed, uses a pacifier, I have never smoked. It seems to be like it'll be better sleeping for both baby and me, but I'm still not sure. I have a lot of anxiety over the baby sleeping which makes the little sleep I do get very poor quality because I'm worried so much about the baby. I'm just curious what other mommas think or do. Or does anyone have any other suggestions/advice?
