Freezing Cake for Anniversary?

Have you frozen a layer of your cake and cut it on your first anniversary? How did it look and taste at that time? 👀👅
I was married in 2013 so this isn't for me - just curious. I would think freezer burn would happen or it'd be super stale.
(I still think it's a sweet tradition though...and I love sugar so would eat it anyway. 😂)

I can't keep a cake frozen.. I would eat it or slowly pick all the frosting off and eat it every time I open the freezer lol

It has to be well wrapped or it will get dry and freezer burnt.

It's gross and stale even when kept in deep freeze.. I did it.

we vacuum sealed ours and it tasted the same besides a TAD stale but barely

I didn't have a cake, let a wedding, lol. but if I did, I wouldn't have. sounds silly to me. didn't even know that was a thing. I like cake too much as well😂

I did, it tastes exactly the same...... I dunno if it's how my SIL wrapped  it or what but no difference..

Our slices are hella freezer burnt, but we are still saving them for our anniversary. lol

We saved it, but when a year rolled around and we took it out, we both decided we didn't want to eat it lol. We just bought some dessert instead 😂
