No sperm

Kelsey

Update: We saw his primary physician today and he said normally he refers to the fertility clinic for this kind of thing. I asked about a Urologist and he said we could try that but I need to do some calling around to find out if there is a urologist who will treat it without referring us to a fertility clinic. So far just by looking online I've found one doctor that says he specializes in Male Factor Infertility. I just dont want to call other places and sound stupid if they just refer people to a fertility clinic for that stuff. We are between Springfield, IL and St. Louis, MO so looking in both areas if anyone has any suggestions. . Just wondering if we're alone with this problem. My husband and I have been TTC for a year and a half. I did all of my testing this fall (bloodwork and HSG test), those came back normal. My husband finally did his Semen Analysis today and they found no sperm present. They want him to redo it in 6 weeks and then come in for a follow up visit. The bad thing is we just lost our fertility coverage through insurance as of January 1. Has any one else gone through this? How were they able to fix it? Is it something that either his primary doctor or my gynecologist (who will do some fertility treatment if there is no coverage for it) could treat possibly? We have appointments set up with both doctors before his next appointment for the repeat semen analysis. Just wondering what your experiences have been.
