When do you tell your place of employment that your pregnant.

Question

I’m pregnant and I don’t want to hide it like I’m ashamed but I’m concerned to tell my work that I’m pregnant. I’m afraid it will make me a target if a lay off every arises. They legally can’t fire you for being pregnant but corporate companies are shady. 
I missed 4 days this past month with appointments so I feel I can’t hide it either.

i just got hired when i was 24-25 weeks pregnant.   i told them in the interview about it and about appointments and everything.  luckily i only want part time, so that makes it easier on the scheduling.   it really just depends on the company as to how they are going to handle it.   some companies are super good with working with you, some just font wanna deal with it.  either way, they need to know.  and you'll find out if its a place worth working at or not.  if they arent pregnancy friendly, chances are they arent baby friendly either.

I would tell them as soon as you know how far along you are, the sooner they know the better it'll probably be in the long run.
