Can being overweight cause infertility?

Hi, so I want to start off by saying I am very overweight, however, I have very regular periods. They are every 30 days on the dot. They have always been that way. I am on month 14 of trying. We conceived back in march of 2017, but that ended up being a chemical pg. My question is can being overweight cause infertility even if i have regular periods, and I ovulate regularly? (I test and temp)

If your periods are regular & you’re ovulating regularly, I think it’s just an issue of timing despite your best efforts. Sure, obesity could cause an issue BUT the issue is usually irregular cycles or anovulatory cycles (no ovulation) which you have neither. I work in an OB office, & we see SO many beautiful obese mommas go on to have happy & healthy pregnancies/deliveries 💕👶🏼 I would make an appt w/your OB/GYN to further evaluate if it’s another problem. They could do a sperm analysis on your partner, as a lot of times infertility comes from the paternal side of things, too! Have you tried being put on metformin/clomid to help yet or just trying naturally so far? I’d also ask about testing progesterone levels (what keeps the placenta/baby growing & allows pregnancy to occur), as your levels may be too low that your body isn’t allowing any fertilized eggs to implant. Just whatever you do, DONT GIVE UP! 👏🏼👏🏼☺️
