It’s genetic. I went to 37 weeks without a sign of them, delivered, got home from the hospital and my lower stomach was covered. The quick shrinking caused it. You can moisturize to help keep them from being as bad, but if you’re going to get them you will be getting them. There’s no preventing it. It’s all about skin elasticity.

It’s all about genetics too. I used cocoa butter daily and still got a few. But they are fading and are hardly noticeable so it may help.

I used cocoa butter from the beginning...i also drank a ton of water but they started showing up badly at 37 weeks randomly.... i just use the cream now to stop the itching .

Mama Mio tummy rub oil! I ordered it on Amazon. Not a single stretch mark after baby number one, currently using it with baby number 2 praying i don’t get any this time around either! It probably is just genetics, but can’t hurt to try to prevent them!

coconut oil ! I would also exfoliate with a sugar based exfoliant in the shower and apply the oil right away. the exfoliation helps take away the dead skin cells and helps your skin expand well while the oil hydrates. I never had one single stretch mark and they definitely run on both sides of my family

I’ve been using baby oil (before pregnancy as well) after I get out of the shower/tub - I’m currently 18 weeks and don’t have any yet.
