Genetic testing?

So I was planning on asking my OB about genetic testing at my appointment next Thursday, but by then I’ll already be 14 weeks 4 days & I’ve read that it needs to be done before 14 weeks. 
Anyone know any more about this??

I had blood work done that needed to be down between 9-13 weeks

Depends on the test. I’m getting quad screen testing done which is in the second trimester.

I didn't have my first ob visit til 12weeks, this Monday, and I've been rushed around all week to get blood work and ultrasounds, because it "had" to be done by next week. Not sure if different OBs are different or what. But you could always call and double check to make sure they know how far along you'll be before you're seen.
