When is the best time to announce your pregnancy on social media?

We've already told family, jobs and close friends, but are trying to figure out when might be the best time to post on Facebook, Instagram, etc. My baby bump is growing and it won't be much longer until I can't hide it in photos!

I haven't even announced it on social media. I'm 15+ weeks along. Don't really care about getting attention from it or having everybody know about it.

This is my 4th and last so I’m thinking of not “announcing” on social media. Just a surprise baby post I think would be more fun. Especially since we’ve announced 3 times before.

I'm almost14 weeks and we haven't even told family yet. Probably won't until I start showing. I don't know if I want to announce on fb to be honest (if we do, it'll be late in the pregnancy). We have to share the baby with the world, I think keeping the pregnancy to ourselves is the coolest thing we could do for ourselves. That being said, I have 3 friends who are also pregnant and 2 of them make most of their posts about pregnancy/baby. Everyday. It's gotten to the point where I just like what they say without even reading the whole post. I'm not going to lie, it makes me super glad to have my pregnancy to myself.

for us we waited until we found out the gender. but that was only because we have 4 boys. and everyones reaction was "what are you gonna do if it's another boy?" or "you guys need some pink" so we weren't wanting to hear all the remarks...but that was just our preference. we also found out the gender early with blood test

We shared maternity pics at 7 months with the last baby but originally hadn’t planned to do anything. The pics just came out really nicely. We haven’t decided what to do with this one yet.

I’ll be 12 weeks on Sunday and I still haven’t even told family, just me and my hubs. And I don’t plan on social media at all, this is baby #3 and I’m just as excited to welcome another little one. But I just care less about letting others know that I don’t normally talk to. I have family outside of the US so they’ll be getting either emails or postcards. And everyone else will hear it in person. Plus my FIL always offends me somehow with stupid comments, so I can wait lol.

With my first two I announced on FB when we found out the gender, I’ll probably do that again this time.. if not even later. But whatever you prefer there is no right or wrong it’s all just personal preference
