how long to miscarry?

During my 8 weeks ultrasound, I was told that I am only 6 weeks along. Couple days later, the report says, "non-viable gestation". 2 weeks later my blood test didn't have a significant increase. Heart breaking as it is, now I'm waiting to miscarry. I started having some spotting for 2 weeks. I am 11 weeks into my pregnancy now. So how much longer will I miscarry? I know every pregnancy is different, but can some one share their stories with me?

I had a missed miscarriage. I started having some dark blood at 11 weeks and went to get it checked and they said baby probably stopped growing at 8 and was measuring 6. They gave me the option of letting things happen on their own but if 3 weeks of it not happening on its own (8-11) I opted to take the pills to start the process. It just gets it over with faster.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I found out I was pregnant August 8, 2017 and was over the moon.  Fast forward to September 22, noticed I was bleeding. Finally got in for an ultrasound September 25 and the doctor said it was a blighted ovum. Had a D&C; on September 27 since my body hadn’t registered there was only an empty sac. The doctor gave me three choices: let it happen naturally, prescribe a medication that you insert into yourself and speeds up the process or D&C.; I chose the procedure because I just wanted to be over it and start healing. It’s been a long 4 months and I’m just so sorry that you’re having to go through this. Prayers to you, love. ❤️

my first miscarriage was done in about a week. I was about 6 weeks.  my recent miscarriage lasted forever between the spotting before and the real miscarriage and the cramps were horrible

Have them recheck your HCG. If it hasn't raised or is lower, you may need to have a d&c.; Some women who's baby stops growing, don't go into labor on their own. You can also get an infection if the baby if left alone too long. Keep in contact with your doctor and talk to them about all options. 
A d&c; is NOT an abortion and does not mean that you failed in anyway. Some women just aren't able to do it on their own time.
