Condescending doctor

Stefanie

I had an HSG in December after TTC for 2 years (I’m 36). The PA completing my procedure said that my cervix was closed. She had to make an incision to complete the test. PA stated “this is probably why you have not been able to get pregnant”. The results came and my tubes are clear but the doctor saw either air pockets or polyps. I followed up in January with a saline sono, which went really well. No polyps, no issues getting through my cervix . I followed up by my doctor to discuss my options. I told him about what the PA said and he condescendingly says “OH....YEAH 🙄you’re fixed!! Miracle PA!!” Then goes on to tell me that this wasn’t the issue and that pregnancy MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN. he prescribes me clomid and says I can do it for 3 months, no longer. If this doesn’t work, I will be referred to an RE...which my insurance will not cover. I ask him about CM (I’m concerned about this since I had a LEEP done several years ago and have not seen regular EWCM). Before I can even get the entire question out, he interrupts me, rolls his eyes, and says “that’s not the issue. Cervical mucus, bbt..all a waste of time! You have a few days and if you have intercourses 2 days during this time, you should get pregnant!” I’m considering switching doctors at this point. Maybe I’m being sensitive. Idk. But I left his office feeling really discouraged and defeated. ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated! ❤️
