I just want to cry! ðŸ˜
So here I am 40 weeks pregnant had to switch doctors at 36 weeks due to moving and my doctor called the new one and told her all of the issues I’ve had with my pregnancy along with sending her all the details. My baby has been measuring large with no gestational diabetes and also has a tilted heart. My old doctor told the new one to keep an eye on my baby’s size otherwise he’d be too large to deliver and we were trying to avoid csection.
Well my doctor is an asshole who decides she wants things done her way, has me go in for an ultrasound and then doesn’t bother looking at the results. I asked three weeks ago what my induction options are and she rolled her eyes at me and then left the room telling me to book another appointment, later ran down the stairs as I was leaving because she looked at the ultrasound and saw how big my baby is, has me come back for labs and then let’s me leave. I continue to ask about my options and she just doesn’t answer.
Fast forward to today, had my appointment she checks my cervix and orders ANOTHER ultrasound! Ultrasound tech tells her she can’t get accurate measurements because the baby is too large for the largest margins and estimates the baby as being close or over 12 pounds, and so I ask again, knowing I would now need a csection and asked if we can get him out in the next couple of days because the pain I’ve been in has been unbearable and she LAUGHED at me telling me she will call me with a csection schedule for late next week! I start sobbing uncontrollably and she tells me she is going to leave the room until I clean myself up and tells me that if I’m really in so much pain, she will prescribe pain killers..
So you’ll give me pain meds that aren’t good for my babies heart but won’t deliver my child?! Wtf have I done to deserve this?? I haven’t been able to stop crying all day. I begged for a different doctor, called the nurses and L&D..; because I’m so far along they won’t switch me! Tomorrow I’m calling patient advocacy because this is ridiculous!
