Pain when walking at 21 weeks.

I’m between 21 and 22 weeks and for the last month or so it has become more painful to walk in my nether regions. I am assuming it’s my hips spreading to make room for delivery but I never had this with my daughter. Of course that was 10 years ago lol. Anyone else having pain this early that is making walking or moving in general hard?

Yes, I spoke to doctors and I’m on waiting list for physio. It’s called SPD, and is from hormones makin your pelvis unstable. They say try to avoid stairs and keep legs together when getting out of bed etc, and sleep with pillow between knees xx

Well go slowly at your own pace. All they can do is ask you to rest, and offer crutches and bump support band xxx

Maybe I should contact my doctor about this then. Thanks for the tips I’ll try that. Although stairs will be hard to avoid my office is on second story.

Sounds like you might need to see a physiotherapist. It can get worse if you can’t stabilize your pelvis. I know women who’ve ended up on crutches by the end of their pregnancies. Take it easy & don’t push yourself too much but try not to sit/lay down for too long at a time. Keep those muscles moving 💪 Prevention is the key.
