anyone cutting back in their anti depressant?

what a fun topic haha. I haven't seen a doctor yet but I am thinking I would liken to wean off the Zoloft. anyone starting to do that?

My doctor said I could continue my Zoloft. The benefits outweigh the risks. I stopped taking it when I first found out and I got so down in the dumps to the point where I just didn’t wanna get out of bed. Now that I’m back on it I feel so much better

BENEFITS HUGELY OUTWEIGH THE RISKS.
That being said, I dropped down to 100 because I was super sensitive to the effects of my Zoloft after I got pregnant. But it is 1000x more important that momma be able to handle anxiety/depression than the undocumented effects that Zoloft has no proof of having. Other meds aren’t safe, but Zoloft is.

I've been weaning off my Zoloft slowly. started at 200 mg and am now down to 50. I've felt ok, I'm just more snappy lately. but it could also be due to hormones.

I’m on the generic brand of Lexapro (lowest dose as well). And my doctor gave me the okay to keep taking it. I had a period of a two or three weeks where I wasn’t taking it regularly because I kept forgetting. I could tell my symptoms of depression were coming back, but it could have also been part hormones. The best you can do is talk to your doctor! Everyone is different

I take venlafaxin and have started to lower the dose slowly. I'm hoping to be off it before the third trimester start. But I take it day by day and see how it goes. So far I have had no problems. Hope it goes well for you!

I was on Lexapro and my doctor advised me to wean off of during my pregnancy and then restart postpartum. So far I’m doing ok. Just a little more anxiety than I’m used to but my dr said there are other safer options to take if I feel like I need something.

I take Buspar while pregnant, it’s a class B medication it’s helps with anxiety and depression.

My doctor allowed me to change my Wellbutrin dose prior to pregnancy, because I wanted to cut back. I don’t want to be totally off it, because of my history of major depression. It’s up to you and your doctor, though. Good luck!
