Has anyone used spermicide and if so how was your experience with it?

I can’t take hormonal birth control for health reasons and my boyfriend and I have been using condoms as well as the withdrawal method occasionally. I’m curios to see if spermicide would help decrease my chances of getting pregnant but I don’t know anyone that has used it before. (Ps i have used condoms with spermicide in them before and had no issue but I want to know more about actual spermicide creams)

It’s considered an additional method but is not nearly effective enough to be the only method you use.

Wouldn’t rely on spermicide alone but it can be a decent backup when using condoms.
