Milk?

Okay so I’m about to be a FTM. I’m 24 weeks exactly today and I noticed that my nipples were a little sore and really pink. So I decided to squeeze a little to see if anything comes out. To my surprise a clear fluid came out. It wasn’t a lot. Wasn’t even enough to make a drop. Does that mean my milk is coming in?

it's colustrum. it's normal to leak while preg. your milk doesn't come in til the placenta detaches around day 2-5! your body will make colustrum till then.

Literally just discovered this happening to me last night (I’m 20 weeks), but I was also told not to try and express it. It could potentially cause clotting and you could get an infection. So naturally I’m freaked out 😂

Milk production happens when the placenta detaches right after baby is born (the afterbirth). It takes around 2-5 days for your milk to come in. It can not happen before birth. But what you have is colostrum and is normal. And is what you will produce until milk comes in. Your baby’s first meals.
