It all depends on your partner. If he’s defending you, standing up for you and demanding respect for who he shares his life with, then I would definitely stay.
But if he’s ignoring it, minimizing it or even standing up for them, then hell no.

Yes, I didn't marry my MIL, I married my husband. Luckily, she lives in another state. Here are some things she's said or did. Told our 15 year old daughter when she was 8 that she had womanly hips and then told me I had boyish hips. lol. After having a miscarriage she asked my husband how he could still love me because I'm fat. I'm 5'2" and 135 lbs. People usually describe me as petite and tiny lol. She also gave us handmade mugs her students made with my husband's ex wife's name etched in the bottom of mine. Luckily, his ex wife and I get along since she is our daughter's mom. We both had a good laugh about that one. She hasn't met our almost 5 year old son or our 8 month old son and hasn't seen our oldest 2 kids in almost 6 years. I wouldn't let them get to you. Although that's probably a lot easier for me since we rarely talk to her.

Like her saying she wasn’t going to get anything for our baby because I was the one having it (that being the worst) and a few other occurrences.

My boyfriend’s parents don’t like me all that much and his mother has said some rather nasty things to me. But my boyfriend always comes to my defence and tells her to stop. They’ve got no reason not to like me (besides the fact that I try to ensure they don’t take advantage of their son, but they don’t really know about that). I stand up for myself as well which helps and he supports me with that- if he didn’t defend me and allowed them to continue I’d leave him. We’re talking about getting married so once he says I do then I become the most important person in his life. If he can’t respect me even at the sake of his mother then that’s not the kind of marriage I’m going to agree to.
