My husband and I will end our baby making years after this pregnancy and were planning on having him get a vasectomy. But I’m not against tying my tubes, especially at the delivery. Shoot my OB is already in there lol. Any others considering this? We just wanna have sex for fun now 😉

I would definitely prefer my husband to get the vasectomy. It’s less invasive. The only way I see it being the better option is if you are having a cesarean. To tie the tubes, an incision needs to be made in your abdomen. Our deal is birth control is my responsibility for the first half of our relationship, then it is on him.

If I were having a csection then I’d get my tubes tied, otherwise I’d want him to get a vasectomy. I’m just going with an IUD since it’s 100% covered by my insurance though 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you have a scheduled c-section, I would just have your tubes tied. It's an extra 5 minutes. In fact, my hubs and I are in the same position. If I end with a c-section, I already signed the consent form to have my tubes cut. Otherwise, my hubs will get the vasectomy so I dont have to deal with a surgery after recovering from birth.

My husband was going to have a vasectomy, but after discussing it with my doctor, we decided it would be best to have my tubes completely removed. With my history of endometriosis, it will greatly reduce my chances of getting cancer later on in life.
