Yesterday I went in for my first trans vaginal ultrasound for my 8 weeks. Everything with me checked out fine, up until the doc tried to look for the baby. She first asked me when my pregnancy was confirmed then turned the monitor over to me and I wasn’t sure exactly what I was looking at. She told me there was definitely something in my uterus but the baby is supposed to look like a peanut but by the looks of it, it looks like a sphere, but I measured at 8 weeks. She couldn’t find a heartbeat either. I had gotten blood work done the same day to check my levels and going back tomorrow for more blood work to see if my levels drop or rise, and another transvaginal ultrasound . Has anyone else had this problem? Some people are telling me it’s normal not to hear a heartbeat at 8 weeks but I just don’t know what to make of the situation.
