Baby Shower Help

Hey mommies! My husband told me today that he got in a fight with his mom over our baby shower that she is throwing us in July. My MIL offered to throw one big shower for me when I go back to Minnesota to see all my relatives, friends, etc. It was going to be my chance to have a baby shower with all my friends and family and she is now mad at us for wanting to invite my husband's step-mom and aunts. (A side note, my husbands parents have been divorced for 25 years and have both remarried - she still hates him though.) is it wrong for me to want my husband's step-mom to be there? She has always been so nice to me and it's important to my husband and me. Do I tell her to get over it or uninvite them? It's so hard when she is the one throwing the party. Any other moms experience this problem?
