My son is 8 months and he always wants to use me as a pacifier. Especially before bed. I will try and put him to sleep with his pacifier and he will roll around in bed and grunt and start whining until I pick him up and let him either nurse or use me as a pacifier. I don’t think he’s nursing because I usually get a lot of letdowns from him nursing and I don’t get any when he does this. Plus he doesn’t really suck much. Unless I try and pull it out. He will just lay there with it in his mouth. Is there anyway I can stop him from doing this? Is it normal? I mean at 12 months I won’t breastfeed anymore so I want him to understand he can’t do that and that’s what his pacifier is for.
