Baby refusing to breastfeed
My baby boy is three months today, he was a great eater. I’m breastfeeding only. He was born 5lbs 9oz, at one month wt more than 8lbs, two months more than 11lbs, used to eat every 2-3hrs, started sleeping overnight at two months 8-10hrs straight. But slowly started eating less frequently and less time. For the past week it has gotten much worse with baby refusing to eat, fighting the breast and eating when starving. Took the baby to the pediatrician who could not find anything wrong physically. Baby is otherwise playful and happy, I have been basically force feeding him, tried to pump and feed in the bottle, but baby refuses too. As per pediatrician suggestion tried different feeding positions which worked initially, but after a few feedings in new position the baby starts to refuse again. I just feel frustrated and now I noticed a significant decrease in my supply. I started to pump more to try to maintain my supply, but I’m just puzzled and running out of options. Any words or recommendations would be appreciated.
