Super discouraged

So my husband bought us tickets to Hawaii for June as a christmas present! I am super excited and am trying to use this as motivation to lose the baby weight by then! My daughter is 11 months lol it’s past time. I have about 15 pounds to lose. I am doing weekly weigh ins, being careful about what I eat, and working out when my daughter naps for about a half hour. The first week I lost 3 lbs!! This week, I gained a half pound back. I don’t know if it’s from being on my period or because I don’t think I drank enough water this week, but now I’m feeling dicouraged. Like all my working out and not eating what I wanted was for nothing this week. Encouragement? Advice? Thanks ladies!!

MyFitnessPalDon’t just “watch what you eat,” track every bite. Often we eat more calories than we think. Weight loss is calories in/calories out. It’s that simple. Start tracking and I promise you’ll see it works. I lost 33lbs last year

Quit weighing yourself. That is why you get discouraged. It’s normal for our bodies to fluctuate about 5lbs. I can weigh in at 137 in the am and by the pm I will be 140-141.

I misunderstood you I thought you were weighing daily. I would say you bloat during your period so that may be where the extra lb is coming from.

Yeah that’s why I only do it once a week and in the morning at the same time every week. I kinda have to otherwise I don’t know where I’m at or if what I am doing is working.

Stick with it! I lost 80 pounds just being careful about what I ate and working out. I CONSTANTLY fluctuate a few pounds depending on if I a) had too much salt b)didn't drink enough water or c) am close to starting my period. You can do it!

If you are working out and not losing any weight DO NOT STOP! Muscle weighs more than fat and you could very well be gaining muscle. I wouldn’t weigh myself, do progress pictures instead!❤️
