Bassinet problem. Any advice??

My son is 7 weeks old and has hated his very expensive bassinet ever since he was born. He sleeps very well in bed with me and he sleeps ok in his inclined bassinet. I believe he would like his bassinet better if it was softer but I’m not sure what is a safe way to do that. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do? 
I have already tried swaddling and it didn’t help.

I already know I will probably get some shit for this but after many failed attempts I found what worked for us. We got a rock ‘n play (I don’t turn it on, just like the incline) and put a blanket in it. My baby has slept in that since he was 3 weeks old. He doesn’t roll and smother himself, he doesn’t have a flat head and at 3.5 months old now he sleeps through the night. It is right next to my bed, and I mean RIGHT next to my bed, I reach my hand out and can touch him. I feel like once you know your child you know what can work and what won’t. AGAIN, I’m not advocating for this, I am aware of the risks but I had a baby that would NOT lay flat to sleep and when you’re sleep deprived and desperate you try whatever works. All the while, waking up throughout the night at first to make sure he’s still breathing 😂

Babies shouldn’t sleep in soft places. It’s a SIDs risk. Try a crib or a pack and play. Sell the very expensive bassinet or try to return it.
