Missed Period?

Hi ladies! I need some gal advice. I have been on birth control for about 3 years and I have gotten my period consistently each month since. This month, it hasn’t come and I’m 3 days late. I did have sex recently and I took a pregnancy test and it was negative, and I have no pregnancy symptoms. Has anyone else missed periods on birth control? I’ve heard that it’s common.
