okay so i'm a junior in high school right now, but when i go to college i think i wanna get an IUD because

1) the possibility of not having a period is an amazing concept

2) it's college and i'm probably gonna wanna experiment so i wanna be as safe as i can be

3) it seems so effective and so low maintenance??? fuck yeah sign me up

but anyway, i was wondering how i should go about doing it. i would rather not involve my parents (not because they'd be against it, but because it's awkward and i also wanna start making my own decisions and shit) and i might start working weekends so i should be able to save up. i'm just wondering if there's anything i should know or any tips that anyone has on how to go about this? i'm probably gonna wind up going to college in or around NYC if that makes any difference.
