Should I go?

After three loses we have decided to stop TTC. We also are getting married this year and that also influenced this decision. My best friend fell pregnant at the same time as me. We were due a month apart and I had a Mc the night before her wedding. Ofcourse I showed up and showed out but she didn’t mind. And we’ve stayed very close up until we stopped trying. Her baby shower is in March and I seriously don’t even wanna go. Should I?

I also recently just suffered my third miscarriage and my best friend has the exact same due date that I did. She is 8 weeks pregnant and I am stuck wondering what is wrong with me. It sucks and it’s unfair, however I’ve been trying to be there for her as best I can. She understands I’m still healing emotionally. Some days I don’t even want to think about her being pregnant because it makes me so sad, but then I try to remember that it’s not fair to her for me to be so selfish, it’s not her fault this happened and I would want my best friend to be there for me. If you can handle it emotionally, I would say go. If you just can’t bear it I would say to let her know you are excited for her but couldn’t make it on behalf of your mental health

Miscarriage has made me a bitter person. My best friend is pregnant too but she cried with me and I talk to her about how I feel and when I'm having bad days. Be open with your friend and how your feeling and I'm sure she will understand. I would still go.

I say skip it but send a nice gift and let your friend know ahead of time. I cried in the bathroom at the first shower I went to after my MC and I just shouldn't have gone. Take time to heal your heart and allow people with light hearts to go to the party.

I’m sure if she’s a good friend she’ll understand if you don’t go. My best friend is due around a month after my due date would’ve been. Her shower is this weekend & I’m going. She had three MC before this successful pregnancy so I’m so happy for her. I went to a baby shower 2 weeks after my D & C, not knowing how I’d handle it. I totally cried the way home BUT I’m glad I went. It’s really a person decision only you know what’s best for you to do

I voted yes simply bc I’ve been in a similar situation. She got pregnant a month before I did and she was due in Feb and I was due in March. I was in a car wreck the day I found out I was having a girl at 17 weeks and I lost the baby. I was sad and jealous, but I was also extremely happy for my best friend. So I went to her baby shower, and I went and saw her in the hospital once the baby was born. It was extremely hard but I got through it.

The same thing happened to me. I know its hard, so hard. My best friend is due in may and i would’ve been due in June. I would say to go, she’s your friend and if she’s always been there for you.. she probably wants you there for her special time. Our time will come, I just know it. ❤️
