Okay so my daughter (2years and 10months old) had the flu two weeks ago. She finished all her medicine the dr prescribed, went back for check up they said she was all clear from flu other than her cough which could last up to a month. I took her to the dr again about a week later because she had spiked a fever again randomly. Turned out she had an ear infection and they prescribed her Cefdinir. They told me that in 3 days I should notice a dramatic change in her cough and her fever should be gone. Well it’s now day 3 and her cough is still here if not worse and her fever is here and higher than ever. She was running a temp of 103.7 under her arm so I took her temp through her bottom and it’s at 104.2. I called the drs triage nurse and she told not to take her in since it’s under 105. Wth. Should I take her in?! I’m freaking out, she’s never had a temp this high.
