Morg🍭🍪🍼

Hey! So I’m 20 weeks (tomorrow) and every time I’m waking up in the middle of the night I’m absolutely bursting for a pee and I’m having cramps if I don’t pee. Is this normal and does that make sense? Haha I’m so confused and worried 😟

You must be a deep sleeper like me lol Waking up at the last possible instant to go to the bathroom. I get cramps and/or side pain depending on which position I'm in when I wake up. It happens almost every night, including last night.

Same here doctor told me its normal because your bladder needs to empty and is pushing back when baby is pressing on it as he/she is growing to make room for themselves.

I am a hard sleeper since I got pregnant used to never wake up to pee I have dry mouth and drink a lot so I tend to wake up cramping if I have to pee to the point i almost pee getting up. It’s like baby is like mom hello go pee already! I just can’t wake up early enough lol

Yes, it’s normal. I wake up multiple times a night to pee. If you’re drinking as much water as you’re supposed to you’ll have to go more and with more urgency than pre pregnancy. Also as the baby grows they push on your bladder which also makes you need to go with urgency. Holding in your pee will cause discomfort, cramps and could lead to an infection. But if you’re really worried I’d touch base with your provider.
