I got my depo a week late!

So I’ll try to keep this short and sweet! About a month ago I missed my doctor appointment. My husband and I still had unprotected sex. Till the last day my depo was up... I have been feeling a little off and feeling nauseous sometimes getting sick. I don’t get a period on the shot less it is at the end of the shot I will spot for a couple days. I’m been thinking about buying a test but don’t want my husband to Panic since we already have two children and talked about waiting a while and seeing if we want another later on in life... any advice on what I should do?
