green discharge?!?

I am 15 and I just finished my period. I put a tampon in last night just in case mother flow decided to come back (bc she does that sometimes) and I woke up and changed my tampon and it had green discharge on it?!! it’s super gross but i looked it up and everyone is saying it’s like an std or an infection from sexual activity or something that commonly happens during pregnancy but i am a virgin sooooo like am I dying or??

I would still go to a doctor. It could just be an infection.

Toxic shock syndrome can cause a green discharge. I would speak with a parent about going to the dr. You may have just left the tampon in for too long.

especially since you said your period was over. never use a tampon for super light flows, your risk for toxic shock syndrome increases because you aren't filling the tampon up enough to saturate it, thus leaving it in fir longer than it needs to be. try panty liners, or menstrual cups. and yes see a doctor. It's better to be safe than sorry.
