will the pain go away?

my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time yesterday, and let's just say he's much more well endowed compared to the last and only other guy I've slept with...sex never hurt in the past, and it was a bit of a struggle to get him in and it hurt fairly bad. it wasn't an issue with the lubrication of anything, it was more of a....stretching(?) issue?? please tell me it gets less painful after I get used to it!!! or if you have any advice please let me know
